Beef & black bean stir fry

A Chinese favourite that is mildly spicy and full of flavour

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb / 450 g beef
  2. 2 tsp black bean garlic sauce
  3. 1 cup snow peas
  4. 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  5. 1 cup red bell pepper / capsicum
  6. 2 tsp corn starch mixed in water
  7. 2 tsp oil
  8. Beef stock with sauce mixture
    1. 1 & 1/2 cup beef stock
    2. 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
    3. 1/2 tsp sesame oil

  1. 1 lb / 450 g beef – thinly sliced
  2. 2 tbsp black bean garlic sauce
  3. 1 cup snow peas
  4. 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  5. 1 cup red bell pepper / capsicum
  6. 2 tsp corn starch mixed in water
  7. 2 tsp vegetable oil
  8. Beef stock with sauce mixture
    1. 1 & 1/2 cup beef stock
    2. 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
    3. 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Recipe

  • Sear the beef on both sides until browned

  • Add onion and capsicum into wok

  • Add the beef to the vegetables and add the beef stock and black bean sauce
  • Stir fry for around 5 minutes
